La Borsa. E' da sempre la preferita di ogni donna (o quasi!)..cosa bisogna ancora aggiungere? Mai fuori moda, sempre elegante, nel cuore di ogni fashionista.

Chanel 2.55 : posso solo ringraziare Coco Chanel per averla inventata!!!

Sapete qualcosa della sua storia? Io ho scoperto delle notizie molto carine sul mio libro The One Hundred di Nina Garcia :)

Prima di tutto, 2.55 è una data: Febbraio 1955, ovvero la data di lancio della borsa, anche se venne creata anni prima.

Poi, ogni dettaglio della borsa è collegato a Coco, dalla catena alla fodera interna. Quest'ultima è marrone perchè Chanel voleva ricordare il colore delle uniformi del convento dove era cresciuta. E la catena, è in assoluto il simbolo del "credo" di Chanel: la comodità per le donne, che doveva essere sia negli abiti di tutti giorni, che negli accessori. In questo modo, le donne potevano portare la borsa a spalla, lasciando le mani libere.

Un genio.

Chanel 2.55 : I can just thank Coco Chanel for having invented it!!!

Do you know something about it and its history? Well, I discovered something really nice on my book The One Hundred by Nina Garcia :)

First of all, 2.55 is a date: February 1955, the launch of the bag, even if it was created years before.

Then, everything of it is related to Coco, from the chain to the inside lining. This last one is brown, because she would like to remember the colour of the uniforms of the nunnery where she grew up. And the chain is the symbol of her phylosophy: women had to be comfy in their clothes and also with their accessories. Using that chain, she could give the possibility to wear the bag on the shoulder, by leaving the hands free.

A genius.

Estate = espadrillas. 

Le nostre care amiche estive hanno origine spagnola e portoghese e, inizialmente, erano utilizzate da guerrieri, contadini e pescatori per svolgere i loro mestieri. Erano, infatti, di stoffa molto resistente e comodissime.

Oggi è famomissimo il modello con la zeppa, ma come è nato?

Isabel Castaner, nota produttrice spagnola di espadrillas, stava per chiudere la sua ditta negli anni Sessanta a causa delle scarse vendite, quando conobbe Yves Saint Laurent. 

Chiese alla Castaner di produrne un modello con tacco alto, per la sua nuova collezione: oltre a salvare l'azienda, si creò per la prima volta un modello che non avrebbe mai smesso di piacere nè a grandi nè a piccole :)

Ad oggi, quasi tutti gli stilisti hanno commissionato un lavoro a lei.

Our dear summer friends come from Spain and Portugal and, initially, they were used by warriors, peasants and fishers cause they were comfortable and made of a resistant fabric.

Today, the are very famous with the wedge, but how were they invented?

Isabel Castaner, spanish well-known producer of espadrillas, was going to close her business in the 60s because of the poor sales, when she met Yves Saint Laurent.

He asked her to create a model with an high heel for his new collection: above having saved the company, they made for the first time a model of shoes that would have never stopped being popular :)

Today, many stylists ask her for a pair designed for their collections.

 Punto vita: quanti cambiamenti ha visto nel corso dei secoli??? Prima era all'altezza dell'ombelico, poi sotto al seno con il taglio impero, poi di nuovo in basso ad un'altezza più naturale, poi, poi, poi...insomma, ogni decina d'anni sembra che voglia cambiare!

Qualche anno fa, se i jeans non erano a vita bassissima eri fuori moda, ora invece (e grazie a dio, mi permetto di dire) se i jeans sono troppo bassi in vita si rischiano grosse figuracce...tipo rotolini vari ed indesiderati che escono, tipo slip in bella mostra (e non solo) quando ci si piega...insomma, grazie, GRAZIE di tutto cuore per aver alzato un pochino la vita dei jeans! :)

Torniamo a noi: se parlo di punto vita, non posso fare a meno di pensare al New Look di Dior.

Un vitino da vespa, per mettere in risalto il seno e i fianchi..una giacca sciancrata abbottonata proprio all'altezza dell'ombelico o una bella cintura et voilà..les jeux sont faits!

Waistline: how many times has it changed during the centuries??? It was at the belly button height, then under the breast with the empire line, then again to the belly button with a more natural height, then, then, then..It seems changing every ten years!

Some years ago, if you didn't have a pair of jeans with a low waist line you were out. Now (thanks to God, if I could say it) if jeans are too low we risk to put up a poor show with some undesired fat rolls and slips (and not just slips) coming out when we stoop..so thanks, THANKS with all my heart for having rised waistline of jeans :)

Well, come back to what I was saying: if I speak about the waistline I think about the Dior's New Looks, no way.

Wasp waist to underline breast and hips..a waisted jacket with a button or a beautiful belt..here we are, we have all the ingredients for a wonderful waistline!

Da pochi anni è ritornata di moda la vita "alta", ovvero il punto vita è ritornato alla sua altezza naturale.. Senza ricadere nel vintage, che non amo troppo, sono state create diverse soluzioni che permettono di mettere in evidenza il punto vita senza sembrare di essere uscite da una fotografia anni 50 :)
Nel set qui sopra ho scelto alcuni vestiti che segnano la vita, sono tutti modelli abbastanza diversi..ci sono delle tuniche (tra l'altro, riconoscete quella verde a maniche corte?), un vestito a maniche lunghe molto simile a wrap dress e un vestito in stile tutù:) Quale preferite? Io il tutù, anche se mi rendo conto sia poco sfruttabile!

Some years ago the highwaist has come back, so the waistline is again at his natural point.. Without falling in vintage, that I don't love so much, they invented garments that underline the waistline without making us seem to have just come out from a pic of 50s :)
In the above set I chose some dresses that mark the waistline. They're different enough..you can see some tunics (can you recognize the green short-sleeved one?), a dress that is really similar to a wrap one and a dress like a tutù:) Which one do you prefer? I really like the tutù one, but I know it's very hard to put it on use!

Una cintura su un bel punto vita non può che accentuare le curve e rendere più snella la figura. Può dare quel tocco in più ad un look altrimenti scialbo. Ovviamente ognuno deve scegliere il modello più adatto al proprio fisico perchè, come disse qualcuno che non ricordo, "Rovinare un bel girovita è una cosa orribile".
Nel set qui sopra, ho scelto dei top da abbinare a dei semplici jeans skinni e ad un sano paio di tacchi per rendere un po' più contemporanea la vita alta.. Non so voi, ma io sono incantata a guardare il top bianco e la giacchina rosa:) 

A belt on a beautiful waistline can just enhance the curves and make the figure thinner. It can give a really cool touch to a drab look. It's obvious that everyone has to choose the righ model for her body because, as someone I can't remember said, "To ruin a beautiful waistline is a horrible thing".
In the set above here, I choose some tops to be matched with a simple pair of skinny jeans and a sane pair of high heels just to render the highwaist more contemporary.. I don't know you what do you think about them, but I'm fascinated by the white top and the pink jacket:)

Il 2 aprile scorso sono stata invitata all'evento PRESS BLOGGER DAY presso lo Show Room Paola Frani in via Carlo Botta 8 a Milano.
Sfortunatamente, non ho potuto prendere parte all'iniziativa e mi è dispiaciuto parecchio perchè si è trattato di un'esperienza davvero molto interessante. Questa mattina ho ricevuto una loro email in cui mi mandavano come allegati la relazione sulla giornata e le foto scattate durante l'evento: ho apprezzato molto questo gesto perchè mi hanno comunque dato la possibilità di "partecipare a distanza"!
La maison Paola Frani il 2 aprile ha deciso di aprire le porte a noi bloggers dandoci la possibilità di vedere la collezione e di giocare con i capi di campionario. Ai bloggers presenti ha permesso di improvvisarsi stylists nella "Taste me zone", mixando le sue crezioni su due modelle che si sono fatte fotografare: vi immaginate che bello debba essere stato??
I bloggers hanno potuto vedere come si realizzano gli schizzi dei modelli, come si crea un set fotografico e confrontarsi con i vertici aziendali per parlare delle origini, dei progetti e degli obiettivi dell’azienda che punta a trasformarsi in una maison «di vetro» per il suo pubblico.

Last 2nd of April I was invited to the event PRESS BLOGGER DAY to the Paola Frani's Show Room in via Carlo Botta 8 in Milan.
Unfortunately, I couldn't take part to the initiative and I felt so sorry cause it was a so interesting great experience.
This morning I got an email from them in which they sent me as attached the report of the event and the photos of the day: I really appreciated this gesture cause they gave me the opportunity to "attend from far away"!
The Paola Frani's maison on the 2nd of April decided to open its doors giving us the possibility to see the collection and play with all the items. She allowed the present fashion bloggers to act as stylists in the "Taste me zone", mixing her creations on two models who posed: can you imagine how wonderful it would have been?? 
Bloggers could see how the dress sketches are realized, how a photo set is created and could confront with the company tops to speak about the origins, the projects and the objectives of the company that aims at becoming a "glass" maison for its public. 

 Questi sono solo alcuni dei look creati dai fashion bloggers presenti all'evento. Sono quelli che mi sono piaciuti di più e che io stessa mi divertirei ad indossare: non trovate che la modella nella prima foto abbia un'aria da donna degli anni 20? Un po' per la pettinatura, un po' per l'abito romantico e un po' per il modello di décollétées, a me dà davvero l'idea di essere entrata in una stanza di quell'epoca..
Stile totalmente differente e moderno quello della terza e della quarta foto; due look molto moderni, in cui mi rispecchio molto. Amo l'outfit creato con cappotto, abito stretch e décollétées nere tanto quanto lo stile decisamente più contemporaneo creato mixando t-shirt grigia, gilet e cappello in stile borsalino.
E gli ultimi due look? Non vi ricordano un po' Chanel? A me tantissimo..
Devo dire che questi abiti mi hanno colpita molto: possono dare l'idea di ritrovarsi indietro nel tempo e, se indossati in altro modo, sono di stile estremamente contemporaneo. Io che amo la moda e ancora di più la storia della moda non posso fare altro che apprezzare queste creazioni con tutta me stessa :)

They are the ones I like the most and the ones I would wear: don't you think the model in the firts photo has something of a 20s woman? This pic makes me feel like being in a room of that period because of the hairstyle, the romantic look of the dress and the heels model..
A totally different and modern style is the one in the third and in the fourth pics; two so modern looks, which I'm reflected in. I love as much the outfit created with the black coat, the black stretch dress and the black heels as the definitely more contemporary style created by mixing a grey t-shirt, a waistcoat and a hat similar to borsalino's style.
And what about the last two looks? Don't they remind to you a little bit of Chanel? 
This is to say: these clothes really catch my attention. They could give the idea of being in a period of the past and at the same time, if worn in a different way, they could have a very modern style. For a girl like me, who loves fashion but above all history of costume, these creations are really appreciated with all myself :)

Quale ragazza non ha almeno un paio di paperine (o ballerine, come preferite) nell'armadio? Sfido a trovarne una.
Pur essendo scarpe basse, vengono viste dal mondo della moda come chic e assolutamente senza tempo.
Inoltre, sono comodissime (cosa non da poco!) e si rivelano essere adatte per tutte quelle occasioni in cui i tacchi sarebbero "troppo" e delle sneakers sarebbero "poco"..non so se rendo l'idea :)

Which girl hasn't a pair of flats? I defy to find one.
Even if they're flat shoes, they're considered by fashion as chic and absolutely timeless.
Moreover, they're so comfortable (that's saying a lot!) and they're suitable for all those occasions in which a pair of high heels would be "too much" and a pair of sneakers would be "not enough"..don't know if I've got it across :)
Who was the first to start the fashion? Brigitte Bardot.

Era una ballerina classica (ahhh..invidia!) e quando firmò il contratto per il film E Dio Creò La Donna  chiese a Rose Repetto, noto marchio di scarpette da punta, di reallizzarle un paio di paperine da indossare durante le riprese. Inutile dire che le vendite salirono alle stelle dopo l'uscita del film.
E indovinate un po' chi fu ad indossarle qualche tempo dopo, sempre durante le riprese di un film? Ma ovviamente, Audrey in Cenerentola a Parigi. 

She was a ballet dancer (ahhh..what envy!) and when she signed the contract for the film And God Created Woman she asked Rose Repetto, a well-known brand of point shoes, to make for her a pair of flat shoes to wear during the shooting. It's useless to say that after the film was realised, the sellings shooted up.
And guess who was the second woman to use them in one of her film.. Obviously, Audrey in Funny Face.

 Ieri pomeriggio, complici il sole e gli alberi che cominciano a fiorire, mi sono messa a fotografare le mie paperine in cortile: non vi dico le scene con api&co (detesto le api e ho una paura folle che mi si avvicinino)..appena le sentivo ronzare vicine scappavo e le scarpe cadevano dall'albero.. dopo dieci minuti buoni mi sono resa conto che i vicini si stavano palesemente godendo la scena dal balcone.. :)


Yesterday afternoon, sun and blooming trees playing their part, I took some pics of my flats in the garden: you should have seen me with bees&co (I hate them and I'm madly afraid they fly near me)..as soon as I heard them I run away and my shoes fell down from the tree.. after ten minutes I realised my neighbours were glaringly enjoy the scene from their balcony.. :)
